Frequently Asked Questions

everything you need to know about transformational integration coaching

What is “integration”?

Integration is the process of taking insights, emotional shifts, or spiritual awakenings and weaving them into your daily life. It bridges the gap between an “aha” moment and real, lasting change.

 â€‹

While integration is often discussed in transformational or healing spaces, it applies to all areas of life. It’s about bringing unacknowledged parts of yourself into awareness, working with emotions or patterns rooted in trauma, past experiences, or simply the human journey.  At its core, integration is about the practices, choices, and awareness that help bring your whole self into alignment—mind, body, and spirit.

Who do you work with?

I support clients from diverse backgrounds seeking personal growth and transformation, including those who are:

  • Healing from trauma

  • Breaking substance or behavioral addiction-based patterns

  • Untangling shadow material or subconscious beliefs

  • Experiencing vivid or recurring dreams and seeking guidance in exploring their meaning

  • Moving through a spiritual awakening or faith transition

  • Exploring transformational and spiritual practices such as meditation, yoga, energy work, or shamanic healing

  • Integrating experiences with plant medicine or clinical psychedelic therapies

  • Processing and integrating near-death experiences

  • Feeling ready for life-aligned change

No matter your path, I meet you where you are and help translate your experiences into meaningful, actionable daily practices.

Where do sessions take place?

All coaching sessions are conducted online via Zoom, so you can work with me from anywhere in the world.

If you’re based in or visiting the Sacred Valley of Peru, I also offer in-person opportunities, including:

  • Workshops

  • Yoga classes

  • Integration circles

What is your approach in coaching sessions?

My approach is holistic, blending the needs of the mind, body, and spirit. Sessions are client-led, guided by what feels meaningful to you.

Tools I draw from include:

  • Nervous system regulation through somatic awareness

  • Journaling prompts and guided self-inquiry

  • Shadow work and exploration of subconscious beliefs

  • Goal setting and accountability support

  • Developing personalized grounding and spiritual practices

At the heart of coaching is helping clients clarify values, identify obstacles, and take grounded steps toward living aligned with their whole selves.

What personal experience do you bring to your coaching?

My coaching is rooted in years of hands-on experience and transformational practice. Since 2021, I’ve been immersed in Amazonian plant medicine traditions in Peru, beginning in Iquitos with ayahuasca ceremonies led by mestizo curanderos. I later completed traditional Shipibo plant dietas and worked with Matsés maestros specializing in the detoxifying frog medicine kambo.

In 2023, I made Peru my permanent home in the Sacred Valley, where I continue to work with ayahuasca, huachuma (San Pedro), psilocybin, kambo, and other plant medicines. Much of my experience comes from serving as a retreat facilitator, yoga teacher, and integration specialist at several plant medicine retreats. The highlight of my work in ayahuasca facilitation has been supporting participants at Beyond Belief , a psychologist-led program for survivors of high-control religions and cults.

Alongside plant medicine, I’ve drawn inspiration from the writings and teachings of Ram Dass, Thích Nhất Hạnh, Paramahansa Yogananda, as well as trauma-informed approaches from Dr. Gabor Maté. Tarot has also been a meaningful part of my personal practice, influenced by the Rider–Waite tradition and the work of Alejandro Jodorowsky. As a tool for reading the subconscious mind, it has helped shape my approach to reflection, self-inquiry, and integration.

Do you work with military or first responders?

I bring a background that helps me relate to frontline service challenges. Before coaching, I worked as a wildland firefighter and EMT-trained first responder across Montana, Idaho, and Colorado.

I am passionate about supporting first responders, military personnel, and veterans, helping them build tools for stress management, trauma recovery, and holistic integration. Even without plant medicine experience, coaching can include nervous system regulation, grounding practices, and holistic tools to support alignment with your values.

What are your credentials and training?

I bring a mix of professional certifications, hands-on training, and ongoing study:

Do I have to have worked with psychedelics or plant medicine?

No! Coaching is accessible at any point in your journey. I never push or suggest that clients use psychedelics or any transformational modality. Instead, I help you build practices and accountability structures that feel grounding and nourishing for your emotional and spiritual development.

While psychedelics can be powerful for some, they’re not necessary. Integration coaching is about weaving insights, values, and intentions into daily life, whether or not plant medicine is involved.

How many sessions will I need?

It really depends on your goals. Many patterns and challenges develop over years, so lasting change usually takes more than one conversation. For that reason, I recommend starting with a minimum of six sessions.

That said, I also offer single sessions—for check-ins, guidance after a ceremony, or simply exploring coaching without committing.  Every journey begins with a free consultation, so we can talk through your needs and find the right fit for you.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Therapy often focuses on diagnosis and processing past experiences, while coaching is action-oriented and future-focused. Coaching can include trauma work, but only at your pace and interest.

The focus is on integration and application: understanding how the past shows up in the present, building tools, and creating structures to move forward without getting stuck in reflection loops. Coaching complements therapy by providing momentum and support to bring insights into daily life.

What is plant medicine integration?

Plant medicine integration translates insights and emotional shifts from entheogenic plants or clinical psychedelic therapies into tangible daily practices.

Integration starts with preparation and intention-setting, which lays the foundation for deeper insights and lasting change. Many plant medicines and psychedelics support neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to form new connections. This makes the post-journey period ideal for positive change, but habits can also be unintentionally reinforced without intentional integration.

Examples of plant medicines include:

  • Psilocybin mushrooms

  • Ayahuasca and other DMT-containing plants

  • Mescaline-containing cacti like San Pedro and Peyote

  • Iboga and other master plants

Clients may also integrate experiences from clinical psychedelics, including MDMA, ketamine, or ibogaine. I support integration for both plant medicine journeys and clinical psychedelic experiences.

Aren't psychedelics Illegal? What about confidentiality?

The legal status of plant medicines and psychedelics depends on the substance and where you are in the world. Some, like ayahuasca in Peru or psilocybin therapy in Oregon, are legal in certain contexts, while others remain restricted. I encourage clients to do their own research into the laws and regulations in their region.

What I can assure you is confidentiality—our sessions are private and focused on the integration of these experiences.   I do not offer or facilitate psychedelic journeys myself, except in retreat settings where they are legally sanctioned.

How can I book a session?

All new clients begin with a free 30-minute consultation. This gives us a chance to connect, talk through your goals, and see if my coaching is the right fit for you. It’s also a space for you to ask questions and get a feel for how sessions work—no pressure, just a genuine conversation.

After your consultation, if you decide to move forward, we’ll explore whether a single session or a coaching package best supports your needs.
